“I’m Going to Disney World!” Houston Astros Announce WDW Celebration

After their game 7 victory in the baseball’s biggest stage, The World Series, the Houston Astros announced a special trip and appearance in a parade to honor the new MLB champions at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

The parade is set to take place at 12:45 PM on Main Street USA. This is just one of the many things Disney has done over the years to honor championship athletes at Walt Disney World. Both the 2004 Boston Red Sox and the 2016 Chicago Cubs also were honored in Disney celebrations.

The parade will feature series MVP George Springer along with teammates who carried the team to victory including Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa. Altuve hit a three run homer in game 5 to help with the 13-12 overtime victory. Aside from excellent play, Carlos Correa made the news for his postgame proposal to longtime girlfriend Daniella Rodriguez after the team’s game 7 win.

All Magic Kingdom guests may attend the celebration Saturday, Nov. 4th at 12:45 PM on Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom.
